Oh, it's worse than you think. Aside from higher deductibles, higher copays, and crappier coverage in "carve-outs" like pharmacy, dental, vision, etc., your employer gets a kickback from the provider for instituting certain "cost-savings" measures. Wonder how many people with chronic medical conditions or who take more expensive medications, were PIP'ed to save $$$?
