For those who think that not being frank on this site is "appropriate" need to get a life. Why not be open about names and call people out for their bad management? After I got blindsided three weeks ago, I stopped looking at this site because I no longer cared. To those who hold shares, sorry, but I really don't care if oil goes to $10 a barrel and the place implodes. And you would be right if you assumed I was not a long term employee, so I don't have a dog in the hunt. I am now fine with gasoline dropping to a dollar a gallon. Saves me money. I was hired specifically for my extensive expertise and experience and was told I would be a likely candidate if my boss retired. He retired, as did his boss. The guys who replaced them have no experience in facilities operations and services. The new guys had me in meetings to be sure I was in the loop right up until the last day, which is why I say I was blindsided. Adding insult to injury, I was replaced by a young guy whose only experience is construction management. From my perspective, it was a classic case of cronyism. Water under the bridge now. Absolutely! I will definitely be calling out names of those corrupt individuals I know and one of them a farm boy no management experience or education made it to supervisor stardom overnight by bull shit. I vote for a lawsuit for everyone over 50. Nothing like a class action lawsuit. Please post your attorney so others can join in.
I am not attacking anyone personally. I never had a conflict with anyone. I believe I had a good relationship with everyone I worked with. Just stating the facts as they happened.

The owner of the site will delete entries with information that could result in a lawsuit. The full names are not the better idea but initials, on the other hand. Certainly a few of the idiot managers have interesting nicknames.
Good Post Tim, The same happened to me. I was also blindsided by layoff. I haven't decided and still considering law suit due to other factors that also include sexual harassment. I'm sure their are many of us outhere with the same situation.
I'm glad I'm not dealing with Big Egos & Old farts anymore. Its a shaddy group of individuals that already need to be put out of their missory and put down.
