At long last we have a Chief Operating Officer! Just the other day, at the club, I said, "Mike, you've really got to unload some of the massive burden you shoulder." He took a sip from his vodka martini (Grey Goose, of course), and said, Shmidlap, I've been thinking of doing that very thing! Said he knew a guy who suffered a bit of a career setback a couple years back but was ready to step back into the fray. I told him it was a good idea, but to dismiss any idea of reducing his own compensation since no doubt the company would benefit from his added focus on CEO-stuff and Chairman stuff. Then he said, "Shmidlap, I'm done with my lunch, when you get back to the restaurant tell them not so much cilantro next time."
