Next round of layoffs has begun in the mid atlantic. Was just informed my position, along with MANY others is being eliminated. This time instead of doing it effective immediately, they are informing people that their job will be gone in 6 months and that they should start planning for it.

As of this moment they have 1,678 open positions companywide. Talk about lost vision!

Yeah, someone finally realized the meaning of been "HUMANE" - Is he back from hiking the Appalachian Trail? To be honest that is much better than lock all the STLS in a meeting, take away their phones and then start calling the ASTLs who will be separated within 12 hours. Even criminals on death row are given enough notice.The little respect I had vanished that day. The ASTLS run the stores 90% of the time and you just decide to treat them like roaches sampling on the salad bar. The bottom line to reverse this blood bath is to invest in real technology (not just preach about it), cut Central/Regional positions to be in line with our competitors, bring in new blood in high offices and cut prices. Don't be evil!
