I used to work for SLB. I promise I am not laughing. SLB is laying off even more people than BHI.

Depends on exactly who you are talking about. Maybe the execs and shareholders....but I doubt the thousands of regular employees laid off at SLB are laughing. Actually, you could say the same about BHI or HAL for that matter.
