Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Layoffs for sure in Q4; the questions are WHERE, WHO, and WHAT is your "pecking order"?

The Open Order Book continues to trend down nowadays, and has been declining every month over the last nine months. For sure, layoffs will happen in early November and early December as money gets tighter. The questions are where (which location) and who. Every manager ranks his employees from the least dispensable (last to let go) to the most dispensable (first to let go). To better prepare, find out or estimate where YOU are in this confidential "pecking order". In this case, yours truly has been in the "on deck circle" for a few months due to high pay and low brown-nosing. It is high noon to entertain "plan B" and "plan C" away from the energy industry.

Yea an when you do go to HR instead of a manager an they feel your a threat due to knowing to much or being smarter then them, they tell you to speak to your manager but you inform them they do nothing or even listen, they find a way to set you up to get rid of you so they don't have to give you your severance an so fourth, no matter how great you were at your job! There so corrupt your just a number there an all they care about is saving a buck! Unless your an ASS KISSER OR BROWN NOSER, really not a good place to work!!! Just my opinion.

I was kicked out after 7.5 years in Halliburton. I rarely had a discussion with my manager in these days in Halliburton. The company's culture has problem.

Most managers at Halliburton DO NOT know their employees and have no intention of knowing them. HR tells the management twits to keep their distance from the gutter employees at all cost. Your yearly rating means nothing and is normally a repeated page of fluff and crap just so they can turn it in. Rarely will anyone EVER have a discussion with their manager.

I knew when the guy with the write ups got to stay I had done wrong by only doing my job instead of kissing ass. Aw hell, if that's what they want its not the place for me anyway.
