Do you really think this country and its citizens are far more intelligent than what Trump thinks of them? Trump knows that the majority of this country and its citizens are Uninformed, Have a short memory, Don't remember the country's history, Are easily fooled, Blindly follow a single political party, Can care less of their civic duty, Generally beleive in a "free lunch". Politicians and Wall Street have been hood-winking the people of this country so easily for decades. This country is far less intelligent than you think. Trump is unabashed about exposing the big picture problems in the country. He may not be perfect (and there is no such thing), but I admire the guts he has to be brutally honest. He is the best candidate for President of the United States. If the RNC doesn't railroad his nomination, I'll be the first to vote for him.

Don't patronize Trump and be careful what you wish for unless you are like him - a multi-billionaire. He started with Mexicans, then Asians, now H1B visa holders- you might be next whatever group you belong to. He is divisive, intolerant and insensitive. He will not be a US President, this country and its citizens are far more intelligent than what Trump thinks of them.

What about american expats in LatinAmerica? How much money they earn , what about their almost royal treatment overseas? Nothing good for locals. Arrogant and disrespectful people in other countries,how much money would cvx save and how many local employees could keep their jobs without them?

I could understand professional athletes and artists being imported, but IT positions ??? I think we should be able to fill those needs with legal residents and citizens.

Anonymous190673, you have a valid point about the H-1B visas are expoited by employers and the result is lower average wages. But, I tend to disagree the wages are so much lower to not persuade the younger kids to pursue these degrees. The current wages for these positions, even with the H-1B visas, are still higher than most jobs are paying in the U.S. We still need these foreign workers with high skills, I just think we need to hire them in very select areas where they are needed. Hopefully, congress and employers realize we need to hire Americans and legal residents in much greater numbers. A hefty tax levied on employers for hiring H-1B workers might do the trick.

H-1B visas are used by employers to keep wages lower than market rate. Issuing H-1B visas lowers the compensation for employees. The increase in salaries would drive people to pursue the necessary education required to fill the positions. If technology jobs paid higher wages, you would have more people going into the fields. The petroleum industry is a perfect example of this. Anyone in the Chevron facilities can easily see, the increase in Petroleum salaries led the younger employees to pursue jobs in the Oil and Gas industry. Everyone can see the age of the staff is either over 50 or younger than 30 years old.

I'm for Trump too!

I think there is still a need for issuing H-1B visas in the United States, but in very select and limited numbers. We only need them in areas where the absolute best people with high tech experience are needed to continue prospering as a strong country. We need the best engineers, scientists, IT cyber intelligence and cyber security. We need to push our kids and young adults to pursue these types of degrees and training to eventually not require "importing" these experts. Cutting foreign workers off is only synonymous will losing our leading position in the world. I think we are currently over doing the issuance of H-1B visas, but that's more of a political issue right now.

Now, Trump has my vote...

Let's just get rid of "technology". Then we won't need high-tech workers.
