Healthcare Benefits

Why did they change the health care benefits without any prior notifications? All of a sudden you including your spouse is 200 more a month? Why wasn't such a big notification sent out before? Not all companies have the enrollment period in the same time period.

Keep raising benefits with out giving employees raises makes me want to put more effort everyday. My wife would take her jobs benefits if they weren't so expensive and shitty.

Hopefully this will help you 190087..if your spouse is using your Weatherford insurance instead of their Employers insurance and it will be cheaper for them to go through their employer rather than you paying the $200 surcharge, then this is a "life event". You spouse will only need to tell their HR department that during open enrollment you had to drop your spouse, and they will pick them up immediately in their (your spouse's employer) plan regardless of their open enrollment timing. You may have already received this info but thought I would reach out just to make sure....better safe than sorry!

Anonymous 190129, what it says is: Spousal Surcharge - pay an extra $200 per month starting January 2016 to cover a spouse who is employed and whose employer offers medical coverage.

The keyword is "offers", not "has".
