191186 hit the nail on the head- WalMart, Target, Kroger- they are the competition- not TJ's. Yes Customer service was always the differentiator- 365 will be a personality less box with not so cheap product and 191230 you got it- open 50 stores before you realize it doesn't work- let's see if Jeff's little pony tail helps out the mess they are all creating- Sears, Woolworth- they all lacked vision or got it wrong- the pioneer that started the craze will join these two in a few years as a tragic story
a 365 requires no or minimal human attention - fresh and easy hires only part timers - vendors stock most of the stuff, i am not sure how they manage things but that's the model that the mother-ship likes. ok, let them have it, the glorious leadership and a bunch of 365 part timers. I've been cut already, i am moving on, just venting a bit
We just laid off all the good hardworking knowledgeable people that could possibly make the new concept successful. After all no one from a real business with modern inventory and ordering software will be able to make sense of WFM's 1989-era "technology." Also let's open dozens of them in the first three years before even one 365 store has been proven to even work.
Woo hoo. I wonder if I can buy those crappy 365 frozen chicken or cheese enchiladas which sold for $1.69 in 2013, then after merely a package redesign were jacked up to $4.69? Or the 365 blueberries which one day got a "non-GMO" special tag and went from $2.39 to $2.99 because now we stated that they were officially non-GMO! When was the last time anyone genetically modified a freakin' blueberry anyway? Same product, new price, and note for business writers who parrot the company line: These are NOT lower prices.
LOL. Really guys. Values and standards my a**. Give it a rest already.
Values - values of greed and gluttony.
Values! What values. We are all tired of listening to your bullshit.
We can't manage our existing business so let's launch a new one that competes with it. Brilliant. We're obsessed with TJs but TJs is not obsessed with us.
And continue to get rid of talented and loyal employees...your customer service is sure to fail.
This concept will be "Dead On Arrival". The market is already saturated with such concepts. This is a "Fresh and Easy" kind of concept except it is riding on WFM backbone.
