I pray QC has the gonads to fire everyone who won't work, who makes fun and causes trouble for those who do work. We have a huge bunch of spoiled brats in my age group and if I said this out loud to them, the pack of mad dogs would turn on me. I do not care how much education anyone has, that does not make up for laziness and egotistical vengeance. Qualcomm, get a pair and some wisdom with them. Sheeeeeze. People. Really? If QC management can't see this, the company is doomed.

I agree with 195726: Some of us work more efficiently. We're also extremely good at what we do--especially when QCOM quits bitching about costs and provides the necessary tools. We put in our 50+ hrs. per week on campus doing straight work: no phone calls, no texting, virtually no non-work emails, and-- until the "cube farm," with our doors shut to avoid distractions. (During my last five years at QCOM, I can count the number of times I phoned or emailed my wife (--or vice versa--) on one hand!) We took a daily lunch break, during which many of us STILL worked, reading materials related to our jobs, or continuing education on the job. We answered emails and addressed problems from QCOM machines that we requested so we could work from home, due to time/distance factors. Only difference is that some of us turned down the option for Ph.D in Number Theory at Berkeley for UCSD because UCSD provided full merit scholarship, and I wasn't interested in going into academic research.
I thought Berkeley still had that peace lovin hippie vibe. Maybe all the hostile people go to EECS dept.
Agreed that some Staff,Sr. Staff do not work anymore or have no-works. They pulled hardly workers down and makes co-worker get dull. they just are focusing on forming a clique with their people, and bothering good engineers not in their group. QC managements will never know. There are too many incapable managers. too much...but they know very well how to pretend to work for upper managers.just pretending, showmanship, discrimination, bullying.... They is why great engineers are leaving as I saw.
Should start with firing management
Actually, maybe I dont need to work as much or as hard as you do to get the same output. I got a phd from Berkeley because i was smart. I use that smartness to work efficiently and enjoy my non-work hours, which i have plenty of. It's the dumbasses like you that are fvcking qcom up- working hard and long but with little and incorrect output
Cool story bro
