Thread regarding Follett layoffs

And yet another VP......

And now a VP promotion for the leader of the IncludED and Brytewave programs. The VP parade continues.

These last few comments are disgusting, sexist, and alarming. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Even on this board, there is no excuse for this.

LP is for sure a lady with plenty of perks and "assests" and her big mouth must be great for other hidden talents in addition to using it for babbling

With a team of women reporting to him, I'm convinced RMc is getting some extra special treatment. LK must have performed horrible tricks, and AS is doing enough to get by. MG, BC and LP must give great blows.

I don't know how Liz does it... she keeps getting promoted to higher and higher positions and pay for jobs that is causing the company to loose money and value????

Promotions for programs that are complete failures? Just read the reviews of Brytewave on the IOS store.

The grunts at Home Office ( the ones actually working) get the evil eye if we get there after 7:30 and leave at 6. Meanwhile, anyone Director level or above usually waltzes ou at 5:30. We all think it's unfair too. I don't know how stores do it. Yet, when we make suggestions to help stores, we are told to table those ideas if it affects productivity in our own areas. Why do you think GM planners never call stores!? Or why emails are not replied to..... No more human contact to save time and money. How can you provide excellent customer service when you have no staff? Bad retail. Worst I have ever seen.

We can hire at the store level we need that money for VP salaries.

Then you have stores that have one full time being expected to be open at all hours and provided with less than 15 hours a week to provide a single part time associate. What planet is financial from? Jupiter? Full of nothing but toxic gases and all.

They must have used a dart board to decide those payroll cuts. My store was cut 66% but another store in my region that does within $100,000 of us (6.5 million) has 3 times the hourly payroll. I just don't get it.

Congratulations to the store pulling in $1M with 2.5 employees. I'm sure you're there when the customers need you to be there (because you can't go home. Ever!). That's the new Follett Value; always be there (or we'll lay your lazy, good-for-nothin' ass off!). I think they ought to hire a new VP to polish that values statement a little.

And the cuts to stores? Unbelievable. Explain how a store that does well over a million dollars a year in revenue is expected to operate with three (yes, Three) employees, one of which is part time?
