Is this the case everywhere at QC? People seem to have lost interest in everything including their reviews. I hear people saying things will be done in the same shady way anyway with the well connected morons getting promoted

Anonymous197815, there may have been bi-annual review fatigue, but at least we got two lots of bonus, merit and stock. Now we'll just get one and it'll be much less than half of what we had before. I expect that many will stay for the next three years while their already granted, but unvested, RSUs slowly vest, and then there will be a mass exodus. If the 100 shares number that another poster posted is true of what we'll get this review period, it's pennies compared to what we used to get. So much for Long Term Incentive Plan. Hahahahahahaha.

Learn the lesson of Nokia, Palm, RIM, HP...what happens when you don't reward hard work, but reward political correctness and lip service. When you remove the carrot and start beating employees with the stick of 'You're lucky to have a job' (actually said by a QC exec in a group meeting), you drive your best talent away and are left with the dregs. The death spiral has begun...oh wait they're not that stupid! Must be a break-up prep!

In the end it doesn't mean anything because what your manager may think is not relevant if it does not meet the department or division "numbers goals". So why care when no matter how hard you work to succeed your manager has no real say and you are thereby "reviewed" by people who don't know your value. Watched his happen every review cycle for many years. As a manager you fight for your people only to be told that the one time they looked tired or wore blue instead of red or some other ridiculous minutia means they are no longer cream of the crop and don't deserve the rating or promotion. The only time the leadership seems enthused is when you are bashing someone. Qualcomm politics at their best happen at review time. Why should anyone take it seriously.
Sorry, "stock", not "sick". Stupid auto-correct. And "seeing" not "see". Sigh, am I human? QC doesn't think so, and neither does this app, LOL.
One, we get no real bonuses. Two, we get some sick, but likely much less than yearly total before. Three, people who deserve promotions are going to be left without one due to politics (I'm already see at least one case of this). So, my answer is, "Too little, too late". Which pretty much done up my overall view of the company now.

The problem with twice a year is total review fatigue.
