Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Focus on what matters

Oh you guys have it all wrong. Honeywell wants to lay off it's full-time employees not it's contractors. Noticed a pattern in Canada they're replacing Honeywell people with contractors. It's because it's cheaper it saves them money they have a fixed price and no about benefits to pay. contractors are a dime a dozen actual work maybe done in the low-cost region not locally anymore.

The situation in Tucson is getting pretty bad. No positions posted. Every other week someone gives their 2-week notice and someone gets walked out. People are jumping ship to Raytheon. More will jump ship to Caterpillar once they are here.

Honeywell Aerospace is proactively getting rid of their senior staff in their Integrated Supply Chain (Operations. They are initially targeting senior employees by placing them on unfounded Personal Improvement Plans as well as assigning workloads that cannot be achieved by an individual. This was the first wave of senior employee reduction. The second wave will entail substantial RIF’s of ISC personnel in Jan, 2016. Honeywell has also contracted with a Canadian firm, Celestica, to outsource their operations function. After this initial “cleansing”, personnel supporting Operations will be moved into the Celestica census and will no longer be Honeywell employees. What happens to their pensions? All of these events are being orchestrated by Honeywell to cull a large percentage of senior employees eligible for the Honeywell pension. This is a conscious and irreprehensible act by Honeywell.

They do the same here. The facility maintenance team in south bend is reduced to less than half its 2012 #'s

Honeywell plans to do the same thing in Tucson and Deer Valley. The plant will be turned over to Celestica, which means a lot of layoffs to comein Arizona.
