Trying to figure out what's left from the 6000-7000 (minus the 1500 from Alpha, minus X, Y, Z from 2015 CNAEP RAE and 2014-2015 CUE, AMBU, CBU ROMs)

@219 and 724, I think the 6-7k were the total from 2014 to today and into 2016. I've been to a couple of town halls where they expressed similar thoughts that it was not 6-7000 in addition to all the groups who already laid people off.
Watson suggested large numbers from Australia and Angola. probably GOM
Most of the remaining 4,000 or so will be from the US, particularly GOM and DWEP, as they restructure their businesses and sell assets. You will note from the last earnings call that the US upstream lost money last quarter.
Kuwait 1000. Australia 1000? Still another 5000. And that wont be all.. US will have more.
I think around 2000 employees have been let go so far with around half of those being in Houston. The additional 6000-7000 will be in 2016 and will be mostly global locations such as Australia. There will also be many contractors let go moving forward.
I am hearing that severance package will be a lot less for the ones let go in the next round. Is anyone hearing the same thing? Should I start looking before it happens?

Watson did not lie, did you read or listen to the transcript, view the presentation slides, particularly slide 12? You better believe the VPs conducting Townhalls are not deviating from the corporate message.
Then Watson lied in the earnings call. If I had to bet, if put my money on Watson being more honest with Wall Street than our management has been to us.
