January layoff. Buyout in march will send qct jobs to bay area.
I've heard march layoffs will be really really bad. I've been a qcom cheerleader for a while but now i'm not sure. Also, with revenue going down the packages will be worse than this time around
I've heard that also, but heard it was just qct moving up north after the split announcement during the april earnings call, so that it would be more attractive to a buyer. Note that the initial split in april will be legal only, the qcom umbrella will still own qct. However, with the legal split, it wi be much easier for a 3rd party to pick it up
April I think. Layoffs to happen in march, which will be massive. Smaller scale company then will be moved up north. Falk to any bay area resident, they dont want to move to san diego, so qcom is missing out on the good engineers
