It's fine until next week. That's when you'll know if it's smooth sailing or if things went horribly wrong with what was ordered, what arrived and who's there to fulfill it without the person waiting all day becoming exasperated.

Fine here.
Holiday table is not worth the money anymore. No reason to have this labor waster when it can all be done online. Wholefoods is trying to compete with the big guys now. Just being able to pre order a turkey at a major retailer is rare these days. Kroger, walmart, safeway and costco is all first come first serve!
So so so many issues with the system PFDS uses to keep track of holiday inventory. WFM technology is 10 years behind. There are going to be tons of angry customers. I already feel it. We basically have 1 team member, completely inexperienced, on the holiday table. There weren't enough seasoned team members and well, there aren't enough team members - period. What a shit show.
They will be running the orders online.
202910, you hit the nail on the head. That's one of the reasons Jason Buechel was hired, is to automate most things online. What I still don't get though is who will be running the orders once thanksgiving week arrives?
I like when we have the custodial staff running the table...
They will do all Holiday ordering online.
We seem to be fine. But next year after they "trim" some more fat off of the teams I'm betting we may have to hire holiday seasonal help. Something has got to break. FP 4 labor budgets seem REALLY impossible to achieve.
