Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Aerospace Layoffs in January 2016

Dear Colleague:

As noted last week, Aerospace continues to perform in a slowing global economy, and aviation industry. We must proactively align our 2016 workforce resources and fixed cost structures to address this environment while maintaining our competitive position and advancing our sales and manufacturing priorities and efficiencies.

Each Aerospace business and function has reviewed its Annual Operating Plans and budgets to ensure they are aligned with current investment and spending priorities. Unfortunately, in Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), to meet our business objectives, we are planning a workforce reduction in the following ISC organizations; ISC Functions, Americas Operations Indirect Labor and a smaller targeted group of non-manufacturing Direct Labor in the United States and Puerto Rico. We anticipate any reductions to be effective in January 2016. We regret not getting this information to you sooner, but a number of factors determined the need for this action and we are communicating as early as possible.

We will consider individual employee requests to be selected for the reduction. We will follow established consistent and equitable reduction in force policies and procedures. Employees who wish to express an interest in being selected for this reduction should do so confidentially by sending an email to their Human Resources representative, by close of business on December 9, 2015.

Eligible employees selected through this process will be offered the same benefits as other employees impacted by these reductions, including severance and outplacement assistance. Honeywell reserves the right to accept or reject self-nomination requests based on business needs. To obtain a copy of the Honeywell reduction in force policy for non-represented U.S. employees, go to the Honeywell intranet: Policy.

The Aerospace leadership continues to consider additional cost actions in other regions of the world, which would be determined on a country-by-country basis, following local laws and practices.

Again, I understand the burden these decisions have on our team, and it’s always difficult to take actions like this. These actions will enable us to address our fixed costs in order to remain competitive and further prioritize investments that will help us to continue growing in a difficult global economic environment.

Mike Madsen

Vice President

Once again you have driven Honeywell down by driving out a very good manager in Mpls. because of your selfish thoughts and concern to listen to positive direction on business. All that matters is the money the people help you make and not the people who make the money. I pray that you will be chasten for your ill-concern for people and their wellness in life. You are a Demond and you will be dealt with. How to ruin a company by Mike Madsen hopefully leaving Honeywell and going to anywhere that he can't ruin people lives. We put you in the hand of God.

Mike Madsen, and all the management above him, (all the way to the senior sociopath, Dave Cote), only have one thing in mind, "Pure, Unadulterated Greed". Employees are nothing more then garbage to them. They govern from fear, "if you can't do the work of the 10 people we let go, then you will be next!, and by the way, we'll be taking back some of your pay". This is our management. They are no more than disgusting pigs with a 0 value for human life.

It seems that Honeywell is in need of Jesus to correct the heart of man so that he will see that all that matters is not the wealth of life , but how I treat and take care of

gods people. That means I and those on top who do not worry about life and the little people we use as pawns to try and become a top 10 or better company doesn't matter at all. Seems we are blind to the position of america and are ran by a bunch of uncaring and selfish wealth and status seeking executives who I pray will be humbled one day. A heart of stone can be crushed but a giving heart will be used for the good of all mankind. I pray that your heart under goes a tranformation for the good of the company. A good leader protects his flock just like his family. What type of job are you doing for to enpower and build successful people and employee's. Those you see as you go up, you can see on your trip back down. Your day is coming.

Mike Madsen is an arrogant, micro manager who rushes into decisions and believes his way is always best. He is driving out top talent and running ISC into the ground. I hope to see him on the lay off list!

I don't see Dave Cote (CEO) taking time off without pay, or a deferred bonus.

Honeywell only cares about senior leadership and how much they make in bonuses. They tell you people are one of their greatest assets. But look at any financial ledger, employees aren't on the asset side. They've reduced or eliminated any employee perks and leadership has been adamant it won't spend another dime on employee health care. And if you're lucky you might get a 2% raise although lately they have deferred raises, instituted furloughs, and keep shipping more jobs overseas.
