Yes, Arthur Anderson was there in both 1500 Louisiana and 1400 Smith buildings. I understand a small group were retained and currently operate in the basement of both buildings. Late at night after the janitors go home, the security guards have occasionally reported the sound of paper shredding machines humming down there.

Chevron has the identical corporate culture of Enron when they were one year away from ruin. Although, CVX employees have a much lower average IQ and higher rate of nepotism.
Most of those supposed "best people" being retained are really the Friends and Family clique.
Fair question, OP. Had some dealings with some of these folks and it was weird, to say the least. Just an observation. But I wonder if "the best people" are being retained across the entire reach of the organization.
