Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Are home prices going to fall? What about rent prices?

Things still seem pretty expensive to me. If I'm not a well paid engineer with stock grants, what should I do?

Home prices will not fall, although as rents rise, the prices of houses will increase more slowly. In other words, the bubble hasn't broken, yet.

A lot of apartment complexes, mine included, claim there is a shortage of apartments and that's why the rents keep rising. A look at what's available paints a different picture. I see most complexes have 10 or more apartments that are immediately available.

Don't panic. The global central banks will print more money. Everything will be fine. The global elites are looking out for all of us.

Rent should stay about the same depending on local economy. House prices will fall 20% as interest rates rise from 3.5% to 6.5%.
