Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Renting sucks.

Price keeps going up. My take home pay keeps going down. My taxes are ridiculous with no deductions. And 10years+ renting, I still haven't built any equity. When am I ever going to be able to get out of the rat race and have a home that is owned free and clear? I am really worked about my retirement.

Renting is better than buying because it gives flexibility when you GTFO package.

It only feels like Mexico if you are a grumpy white person who feels left behind by all the Asians, Indians whi are screwing you out of a job on the high end and the Latinos that are screwing you out of job.on a low end and making you pay a hell of a lot of taxes in the process. Ah ha ha ha ha ha. Poor grumpy white person.

Free if you ignore that $700K house prices will fall $300K in San Diego, probably.

It will fall back to 2011 prices.

You may work in an expensive area of CA, but you don't have to buy a house here to realize the tax benefits. If you think you might ultimately like to live or retire to a place like AZ, CO, TX, NC, or any other state with a growing tech industry-- but lower housing prices, buy a house there. Use it for family vacations and/or as a rental.

Anybody can rent money to buy a home. It's basically free

Assuming you are a man and men have the highest earning potential according to news reports, I'd recommend exploring your gay side. Find a good husband and that can help realize your dreams.
