Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

I just can't get enough of this website.

It's fantastic! All of these years working at whole paycheck, and finally the truth is coming out. Thank you all, for sharing your unfortunately common stories. #wholefoodsmarket

It just doesn't stop...I've been here a long time..8 yrs...running a department that had a louse of a team leader who was recently let go due to theft...now because I've always held people accountable..the nuts won't allow me to apply for the TL position because they are afraid I will continue to hold them accountable. (Read..do your work)..little do they know I don't want the position....but what blows my mind is that they let crappy team members pick their leaders..how's that working for ya? Welcome to WF.

And they got bad legal advice on Wild Oats because after they were almost done with the acquisition it had to be reversed by order of a Federal judge due to anti-trust issues. They ended up with all these extra stores but the Wild Oats brand name and the domain name had to be sold off...And now Wild Oats organic foods are at every Walmart and soon, Sam's Club. So we DON'T own the brand name. BTW our idiot leaders closed quite a few of the Wild Oats stores in places where there was only that one natural/organic market and didn't ever replace them, which pissed people off and hurt our company. You won't believe what they're doing now. Check out this website. http://wildoats.com/

2007 was when it all hit the fan. It's been downhill ever since. #wholefoodsmarket

The culture shifted for evn as soon as wfm bought out wild osts stores and xuddenly there was a second wfm down the street. then trader joe's opened. Until say 2007 we were the only kid in town.

Same here, I've been here since the big layoffs and it's comforting to know that I am not the only one bitching about x, y and z. This is a rather big community of folks here, the execs should check in here on occasion to see how some employees feel

I was at wfm 13 years and had a nice TL until 2007. Even then good people disappeared.

I thought there was something wrong, with me when I saw all the craziness at WFM. I wondered what the heck is going on here. Fortunatly I had a few allies that confirmed it TOTALLY F IN NUTS! I got laid off and this is such a truthful and entertaining site. Life outside of WFM IS GREAT! GOD bless us all for putting up with this dysfunctional company.
