Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Did any of you folks listen to the Texas cheerleaders and relocate to Dallas?

If so, I hope you are doing OK and neither you, your car, or your house were swept up by a tornado. I thought CA earthquakes were bad..Peace.

The only relocation that makes sense is OUT of Texas.

SoCal is the best ever. So glad Qualcomm opened in San Diego.

"...walking dead counting my days until retirement." so true of so many QC employees. Its a sucky way to go through your life.

When I worked at Q I always feared getting trapped in a building with a bunch of people I disliked doing a job I hated due to an earthquake. Fortunately that day never came, and if I were to die tragically tomorrow I will count my blessing for living a full life doing something I love rather being being one of the walking dead counting my days until retirement.

Sooner or later, we all get something unpleasant. If you aren't being herded into a high school gym or a fallout shelter because of a tornado or hurricane, you're being herded into a football stadium due to a wildfire--or trying to get home on the 280 freeway in the middle of an earthquake. Not sure what they'll advise us to do in the event of an asteroid hit or alien invasions. But chances are it will involve lots of duct tape and plastic wrap.

OP relax. Its like someone seeing a news story about wildfires in CA and thinking that everyone's house in CA was close to being burned down. #fakeschadenfreude
