Hopefully you folks weren't that bad of workers that you won't be able to find new jobs.

A lot of the employees that were laid off where the older more experienced (ie higher priced) employees. The cheaper, less experienced ones were retained.

The workers that were laid off were laid off for a reason. They weren't good workers. SWN wanted to get rid of them and start fresh next year by hiring better workers.

There is not one "bad" worker, either let go, or demoted that worked/works for SWN! Every worker that was let go, or demoted, can raise their chin up and walk proudly, knowing it was very bad management decisions that placed SWN in the position it is in. I honestly do not know how senior management can sleep at night, knowing what they have done. To let them walk away with millions is a travesty and only demonstrates corporate greed. Mueller was voted the 8th worst CEO in the S & P 500. Only 7 were worse than he. Yet he gets to retire and walk away with millions he earned off of the toil and sweat of many that lost their jobs.

Read this to really understand what is happening in the industry http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2015/12/31/energy-oil-gas-us-jobs/78066610/ . This trend has been going on for sometime, and SWN made some bad management decisions, and wasted a lot of cash flow.

Yeah, the upstream O&G job market is booming right now. I'm sure everyone will find a job within days.
