I rarely get to talk to my husband who is in Malongo working for chevron. He is a must leave status now.
He is facing a possibly severance offer .
He is eligible to post for a job through the selection
I am confused. If he posts for a job and does not get it will he still be able to receive a severance offer? Probly not,
I know that if he posts for a job and turns it town he will not receive a severance offer
Will someone explain how this all works ?
Been there and done it, Malongo, don't worry he will not likely get another posting, that is the real answer. I didn't, there was nothing to post for in the first two rounds of ROM.
@2sya If the job is a demotion and they do not take it, they can take the severance. It is listed in the FAQs and in the severance policy. Demotion is defined as taking a lower PSG.

He'll get severance of not offered a job in the PDC (frankly, it is unlikely he will get a job so best to start planning for that).

If he's a must move and posts for a job but is unsuccessful in being selected for the job he will be offered a severance package. If he gets selected for the job he posted for BUT he declines it, then he will NOT receive a severance package. Declining a position is equivalent to voluntarily leaving the company.
Have to post for a job, if offered a job of equal or higher PSG will have no severance package if you decline the job offer. If offered a job that would result in a demotion (lower PSG), will receive a severance package if you decline the job offer.
