It seems curious I hear about other company layoffs and cutbacks in the news but Honeywell never seems to make it.

it's obviously age discrimination
Many good people lost their jobs. People with families. The young new grads and single folks are safe though. That isn't news, that's life at Honeywell. If you think you passed this round and are safe, you are setting yourself up for a reality check down the line. You will get older eventually and they will take you out. The theory that the hard workers get kept is a gross fabrication. People with no progressive actions, good reviews, and plenty of work got sent into poverty and bankruptcy anyway. Useless people that sleep on the job, browse the internet all day and bad mouth the company at every turn were kept. Try to get in the in crowd and make sure your boss likes you, Make up as much stuff as you can when asked to fill in your tasks and goals for the mid-year/end of year documentation. The truth will get you sent to the unemployment line. Honeywell buys and sells lies now. Not good product or people.
