Hell there are guys that sit around 7 hours and only do maybe 45 min of work a day. And they're getting paid for it. This company is still overstuffed from top to bottom.

You must be working wrong. If you work hard and don't act like an asshole you'll be fine.
wow you hit the nail on its head! at this point it doesn't pay to be hard worker instead it actually gets you laid off! how sad.
I agree with that! Putting in too much work and being 'smart' will get you canned. You'll make your manager / supervisor out to be a fool.
You work hard and get cut by your supervisor, manager, chief engineer, vp , you make them look bad ...
(they need to cut their ass off.
Interesting thing is that there are those who sit around for 45 minutes a day and work for 7 hours. Somehow those people are the ones that end up getting fired.
