I just received paperwork in the mail from a class action lawsuit against Halliburton stating that I'm entitled to a settlement as I was employed as a field employee in a specified date ranging from 2012-2015. As I'm lucky to continue to be working, what should I do about this?

Collect every penny that you can.
Do you think that Dave will be giving up his bonus this year for his "superior management skills, during this time of crisis"?
Do you think that Dave even considered a pay cut?
Like the others have said. Go get the money !and don't feel bad nor look back.
No brainer, join the lawsuit. If a corporation like Hal owes you money you take it regardless of your situation. I know way too many people that didn't pursue the same lawsuit and got laid off immediately after and deeply regretted it. It actually protects you more because if they try to lay you off you can counter sue them for even more money. Look it up online, all kinds of info out there.
If you are owed money from Halliburton go get it. I'm still employed but if it were me I'd get what I can while it's there. Especially if a group of your peers decided you were owed the money. Take that shit before they dump you without a second though.
Seriously! If you really have to ask at this point in the game then wtf do you really do there. If you still have a job then your either your the only one working or you managed buff the right bolts. I would say you should put that class action bs in the shredder and be glad you still have a job. This bust isn't over with yet and your still getting a paycheck. Then when you do get layed off and maybe if they give you any type of severance then you have plan B. If you haven't been planning for plan B then you better wake the hell up. Then at last you can file for unemployment benefits. Its up to you if you want to roll the dice!
