AI teach out practices - courses being dropped from degree requirements to get students out of the door more quickly

I've heard this is being proposed at Brookline. Can they do this? How vigorous are the independent checks to verify whether all the courses listed in the initial degree requirements (180 quarter credit hrs) have been taken in any case?

"SPECIAL MONITORING" Is a joke

I'd love to know how this happens in practice. I can see how a closing college would be happy to wing it, but the accrediting commissions just turn a blind eye to this dumbing down even when the college they're supposed to be evaluating is under so-called special monitoring?

Not that the degrees were well designed in the first place.

AI has been doing this for a while... since gainful employment... to make the cost of the degree less. Just dumbing down the degree.
