Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

MORE LAYOFFS

USW and IUPIW are both laying off operators. USW is at 52 so far currently still in talks. IUPIW is said to be around 30 operators. IUPIW meets with Chevron on Friday the 29th to hash out details. This concerns SJVBU .....

While I used to negotiate in SJV for Chevron with the unions, I really hope the best outcome occurs and minimal damage is done. I know the majority of those guys and gals show up to work and help the company make money everyday. I also hope SJVBU does it right and considers the peaks and valleys and the long term before decisions are made. Heres hoping for the best for all of SJVs employees and families!

Will it be anice equal percentage of operators cut from each field under iupiw? If not what is the breakdown for each location

I don't have the exact wording of the agreement between IUPIW and Chevron, but during layoffs it takes seniority and performance in to account. I wonder how they will manage the operator layoffs in the IUPIW?
