Put it simply. Is your business still a business for IBM. If yes, then you are fine. If not, start upskilling. There are some staff that are let go due to off shoring but REAL RA's only happen if you're not making $$. Let's be honest, if you're not making the company any money, why should they keep you??

The OP is an exec - he is doing order taking even though he thinks he is selling. He sells nothing, clients come to him because they have to, they have already severed ties with Accenture and there is nobody else around that has scale to deliver - so, the OP wants you and me to go back to work and not waste time here - he wants to make sure we show up at work on Monday rested, bright and early, so he can continue to pimp us out to the client.
@FG1ibtm you must be an executive getting paid for doing nothing except abusing the ones that are keeping the ship afloat. Oh and yeah I agree with the other post YOU'RE A DOUCHE

Not everyone is in Consulting or Services - for someone in Finance, R&D, Marketing, etc. it is difficult to measure things in term of 'bringing money to the company' as the aforementioned functions are cost centers to IBM.
Also, keep in mind that if the company charges 150/hr for you to the client, and they pay you 75, the 50% margin kept should partially invested in your development and bridging situations where you are on the bench for a few months...
Finally, the issue here has to do a lot with executive compensation and how much money GR and her crew extract from the company while they keep our infrastructure in disarray, cutting benefits and perks, freezing wage increases, shipping jobs overseas, halting career progress, etc.
So, you should tone it down a bit when you criticize folks who are unhappy with the great executive robbery that's taking place right now...
