People use the word experience as a crutch. I can say of the 20 very senior DD's, 3 of them were exceptional, while 10 of them were outright incompetent.

Experience doesn't necessarily mean you have good judgement.

DDs who show up from overseas usually aren't very good, because they weren't very good overseas so they are trying to find another job placement.

But things might be different with things slowing down. These guys may be competent at the job. Don't know. I am just tired of people throwing around the word experience as the end all and be all.

Fire all directional drillers, all a complete waste of space. These senile grumpy overpaid talent less dinosaurs are not required nowadays.

It is not. Get a good lawyer and file suit. They can not do this if the three fired are competent and had good reviews. Sue them.

3 x Experienced DDs fired and 3 junior overseas DDs hired. Cannot be right.
