Are they all safe from layoffs or is it just the foreign expats who are safe?

They were safe back in the days when there was one petrophysicist in a BU. Nowadays, we have 5-10 petrophysicists in BUs without any rigs!
We will be hit the hardest. The rumor that we are the talent Chevron does not want to loose is not true. The workload decrease is our demise.

Only those who fall in to the Nepotism category are considered safe. This list was rolled out last month internally to those candidates who qualify for the friends and family treatment. You can spot these people by the arrogant way they cheer on the ROM and say things such as 'Good, get rid of the dead wood' and 'thank god its not performance related'.
