So did the big boys get their overachieve bonuses I wonder? Layoffs everywhere but NOV still handing out bonuses when everyone knows most groups fudge their numbers right ? At least I know some in Wellbore manipulate their numbers every year!! Got to pay for the pools and cars right?!

After 4th quarter figures it doesn't look very promising. I wouldn't hold my breath on it will be like the raise that we didn't get. They just need to tell us we are not getting it if we are not.
What day are bonuses being given out? Today? Tomorrow?

Nothing stupid in expecting what we deserve at PCG. We worked, made the sums and should receive bonus checks.
A quick check to see if you are getting a bonus....check HCM, it's "down" right now. Good sign bonuses are being loaded up and HCM will be back up Wednesday. Can't reveal ahead of time

Since we are having cut backs and hardly no work, then bonuses should not be allowed. I know of salary people who will not work a bit of overtime because they don't get paid for it. I also know of a lot guys on salary that put in tons of overtime and they don't get a bonus, they are happy to have their job at NOV.
Anyone who has a job and relies on a bonus or paid overtime just so they can the pay the bills is just plain stupid.

Nobody has bonuses or letters until EOY and the 4th quarter figures are announced on Wednesday, for some of the haters my bonus covers the extra work I do unpaid and if I totaled the hours up I,d earn more being paid hourly than salaried.
The point was, if they don't get there act together and start making this work for top down, unions will try to get inside. The same people that elected Obama, will bring unions into our industry. Get the oil out of your ears.
And they are afraid for their jobs as well. The difference is when you worked 50 hours last April you got 10 hours of overtime and when they worked 50 or more hours they got no other money. Not sure why you can't see that while you smear the 1% that make a ton off of bonuses you are crippling the same people in the same situation as you. But I suppose that is typical . . blame management and not yourself, don't be accountable, and . . oh yeah . .sound exactly like the people in charge. That makes sense. Go move to a state that has a union and see how that helps you. They lost most of their jobs years ago, which is why Michigan turned to a Right to Work state.
And the rest of us have to worry about loosing our jobs to a layoff to fund your car payment. How is that fair? This is why unions gained strength in the north.
Did I mention there will be NO LAYOFFS @BAKER HUGHES despite the "crazy low price" of your favorite commodity: OIL.

Yea. They got their bonuses after all the final EOY numbers came in.
Don't forget that bonuses are not just handed out to those in upper management. Most anyone on a salary is eligible and likely gets a bonus. They cannot get overtime so that is their "reward" for working extra throughout the year. It's easy to smear those up top and even others who likely don't deserve a bonus but remember for every one manager you are bashing there is likely 3-5 other people who need that bonus to make a rent check or car payment and they did earn every penny.
