Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

I feel bad for the employees that don't know how long they will have jobs. Very stressful. Its not the employees fault oil has gone to shit.

Fingers crossed for all.

Hmmmm I saw a weatherford truck on the ferry going to VancouverIIsland. Can't believe gas wasn't paid for by weatherforf for this PERSONAL vacation. No wonder company is in trouble.

Just to clarify, this was a question directed Don Juan's post. This isn't allowed in our area, never has been.

Just curious, why are company trucks and gas cards used for anything other than company generated income?

To the person that was let go...did you get severance? 1 week per year of employment?

Had a safety manager more interested in a free dinner than anything---I was embarrassed.

Actually glad I was let go, miss the benefits but not the stress of wondering if today is my last day. Found a good job that pays the same, not in the oil field industry, good luck to all!

Furloughs started in Canada a while back and still ongoing. I'm not sure why they haven't started it in U.S. yet.
