Is the cleaner still with us then ?
Not for much longer 😊.
They've got the highest paid cleaner in the UK
Baker BOD??? You'll be luck if there's any work in Aberdeen at all by the time the deal is done ( if it does) . I wouldn't work in that Cod infested shit swamp for any money. Aberdeen is f---ed!!
Hope you turn metal better than you spell dumbass
The machineists in Arbroath better pull there socks up if they want to have a chance of cutting it at Bakers BOD
We're so far behind the times cos all the PGL's know is how to tick boxes and play the game and a continuous improvement lead who knows nothing apart from define & measure, no improvement. Another box ticker. Halliburton have created this, these folk know how to play the game
Bombardier a Canadian manufacturer in NI are cutting 1000 staff, none of them in manufacturing; all management and admin.
Spot on Dubya Bush, we're so behind the times its embarrassing. Anyone that's worked anywhere else knows it .
Shameful display of arrogance from one of the Statoil Cell guys, doing the " we're aright , an abody else is shite" routine.
The same way it's possible for all the PGL's and management to get where they are without offering anything different in 15 years. Set in their ways while the world and the oil industry moves on. Don't be surprised to learn there's no future
How is it possible for someone with very little engineering experience to keep a job , and a tradesman to go.the only way is the corrupt way. Family and friends. Surely that's one for the ethics hot line .
Yea. Figures have been fixed for years making the plant look more efficient than it actually is. Creative accounting and manufacturing results can say anything you want them to. Management, Team Leads and Kaizen to blame.
Perhaps the same level of creativity that goes into our Quarterly Figures aye?
Yeah you are right. Totally corrupt.
If there's a point system I'm sure with some creativity they will manage to keep their golf buddy's
From what I've heard decision are made on a scoring system based on job criteria, the lowest score is then selected. I'm sure though that the scores could be subjective and may not in some cases consider PPR, experience or either internal or external qualifications and could possibly be manipulated to keep who ever Management and HR want kept. So much for good Halliburton business ethics and principles. In other words a FIX ??
Do the right thing? I'm sure they will, by their neighbours cousins brothers and buddy's. If your face fits. If your from Arbroath
end of the road, so far behind Bakers in BOD it's unreal. Arbroaths only hope is that the merger/takeover doesn't go thru. Best place to start would be a cull on all the senior staff who've never saw the inside of another machine shop in their lives
100% management and H R must get this right or we will all be out of work.
Well said. This is an opportunity to trim the excess of fat that's been alowed to build up over the good times. It's no secret who the time wasters and yes men are, so lets hope our Top Brass can do the right thing.
Agree, got to get best mix, not best mates!!!
Why machinist ? Machinists are moved to inspection when required. Don't see any inspector's on the machines. Surely they can't pay off tradesmen and keep unskilled/associates. Got to be a flexible work force to survive any more cut backs.
Only the start. More to follow !
Hope we get told asap. Nobody wants this hanging over them any longer than necessary.
22 bodies to go, 10% reduction aye. Same again in April aye. Any further reduction beyond that we'll just be shuttin the doors, aye
It's all to quiet, end feb, can't go on much longer. Let's face it oil is f♡♥€£%.
At the last minute.
A lot of meetings going on, when
will we find out ?
Aye, wind's gettin' up and rain on the way.
