Question. Would the guy who posted this give up his overtime if it was the other way round. No he wouldn't because according to his post he wouldn't be able to pay his morgadge. To get a mortgage any bank takes uses your basic wage for suitability so can only assume your other spending has been outwith your means hence your debt. I have no sympathy after years of hearing employees constantly bragging about getting this new or that new and fancy holidays Karma has come around to the idiots who couldn't keep their finances in order.
Older guy told me his story of the 80's. He had it all, great job, big house, big cars, big boat, wife, girlfriends , friends all over the world. Lost it all. Lesson learned. Live within your means. But never give up
