Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Were any qualified American citizens or permanent residents layed off while H1B employees stayed?

Were any qualified American citizens or permanent residents layed off while H1B employees stayed? Did QCOM make any effort to retain American citizens / permanent residents in favor of H1B employees? Obviously they would do if QCOM is complying with the spirit of the H1B program and making sure that no qualified Americans lose their jobs in favor of an H1B worker. Is there any data anywhere showing the numbers of H1B workers layed off vs. American citizens / permanent residents? Is QCOM required to post such data?

Most of the employees are Indians, including hiring managers, HR, and the staff of the temporary agency they work with.

I do not believe you will find data like that.

There is data that shows "Foreign Born" employed and "Native Born" employed that tells the story though.

I am pretty sure the number of h1b who were let go is extremely small if not none. Gov knows the number already. Why q would make any effort to spend rather than save more money ? We all know that the exec are middle class people who can't pay mortgage on time so they need to save money, right?

Here is the firing process at Q: remove bottom 5 to 10% thru phony PIPs; bring over indians to replace it and repeat same process over and over; what is the point of spending $250K in college education and then being replaced by indians H-1bs?

OP and @FOlPa3W-afh. Clearly, you aren't an engineer and are just a troll fishing for other people as miserable and unhappy as you, someone who probably lack any degree or someone suffering from severe financial problems (probably from the oil industry). And you definitely are not an Qualcomm employee.

Many if not most of Qualcomm engineering department has a ridiculous interview process in terms of difficulty. No one without a degree will pass through any technical interview...Definitely not any of the Devry or ITT technical graduates either.
