As a current employee that works 40+ hours a week and does not post on the site during the workday, I would like to say a lot of Chesapeake's current state is from Previous AKM management, debt and legacy agreements. However I am not surprised the state we are in when I see some of the things going on at this company. You have clueless "new" management that spend a lot of time churning data and reports to make themselves look good and promoting people that are worthless/clueless while not making any substantial changes. Then you have a handful of people in each department that are actually getting work done and adding value to the corporation and all they get is a pat on the back. The day of reckoning is coming and its time to cut the worthless ass kissers that have been promoted because they are clueless and job security for current management and we may come out on the other side a more solid company with a reputable workforce. Not holding my breath.

I could not agree more. This company is full of change and clearly not for the better. Time to clear house because there are more rotten eggs to go.
I was one of the hard working employees and the only one doing a specific job. Management made an across the board decision based solely on job title not job functions when they did the fall layoff. Many experienced and knowledgeable employees have been let go and will hurt the company in the long run. Young doesn't equal better and will hopefully not ultimately be the downfall of the company. I wish everyone the best as more layoffs are looming in the future.

To many ass kissing idiots in positions not qualified for . The honest hard workers get treated like crap . Kiss butt , lie , cheat steal and you will move up the ladder . Stand your ground and actually do your job and your gone !
Waynoka Oklahoma office is the worst . Everyone in higher positions are from the " old " days with original CEO . Doug Lawler is nothing but a joke to them , no respect whatsoever . What happens behind closed doors is the motto around Waynoka .
Clean house ( starting at the top and work down ) and maybe this company could make a comeback ?

Amen....you are spot on the money my friend. I only hope you and the handful of solid folks survive and make your ways.....the rest of the youngsters bimbetts and well the others (worthless management) need to go and then maybe the company can be all it should be.
I give thanks to the hard working employees like you who every day keep your heads up and work hard....that is truly what it is about....
Not sports games or leagues or short skirts and fast cars....

Thank you of your insight and not posting during business hours. This sight so much of a better forum when supportive, polite and forward thinking comments are made. Employees can make a difference when they work in increasing value and following the directions of their superiors.
