Severance Packages, this is a tough to explain because with this, it's a good ole boy thing i.e. you could have two 8 yr. Employees and one 10 yr. all in the same department. One 8 yr. Employee get one week per year because in the last 2 yrs his performance dropped. The 10 year employee get 2 weeks per year but for 5 years and finally, the other 8 year employee was the well known, we'll liked good ole boy. In this case, he gets to keep his health care for determined amount of time, gets job assistance, 2 weeks serverance for every year, a good standing to work for other GE company or affliates, and personal Manager referral by phone without the third party agency intervention to discuss your work history. Now, you sure that the so-call lawyers is for fair treatment or working for GE to snatch whatever extra they can from us? So employees name will never make it to the firm and will be handled in-house (AKA) HR Money Management. Wow You all will see this occured but if you want 10:1 payout? Just keep your mouth shut and take your change.

Your actual worth and how likely you are to sign a non compete clause and not storm out with a bunch of sensitive data...they figure how much they got to pay you to play nice and sign then and there. Your salary is small compared to the damage done by IP leaving with you(either in your pocket or between your ears). it happens a lot ....

Is this to create legal agreements to prevent an employee from bad mouthing them on social media after being let go? Or?
