Norm Shearer let slip that Chemineer lay offs are pending in Dayton Ohio at the factory floor level. Plus if upcoming contract negotiations don't go as NOV desires they will stop all production at the plant as they did at Springfield Ohio. Those extra security cameras installed inside the factory are for a reason after all.

Response to comment about bargaining unit employees being punished for using cell phone.
Don't understand why their are no repurcussions for office employees. Lots of abuse there. It is sad when someone is texting, facetiming, and surfing the web for 80% of the day; and management ignores it.

Ohh yeah they have brought in some real morons! The new production manager thinks he is a Kenny Rogers/ Colonel sanders impersonator!!! Looks like a cross between Kenny Rogers and Colonel Sanders, white hair & beard, Dresses to impress ,even tho he is on the shop floor, wears high heal Steel toe boots, actually wore white pants on the shop floor the other day! He is all about appearances, actually told one of the Union members to "hammer down" "tighten up" the tip of a tape measure because the tip was loose and causing a part to not pass inspection!! We expect him to break into song and sing " what condition my condition was in" any day now! real genius there!! and he takes advice on how to get around the union contract from those morons, the G&G boys Grahm & Grooms! Worries more about punishing a bargaining group person having safety glasses propped on their head or having cell phone out, when he won't wear them out on the floor himself or the numerous safety hazards created on the floor that he has had a hand in, must not look or be coooool!! If this is the leadership we have been given I want of this ship! it is the titanic it is sinking!! They bring in bigger morons than we already had in place!
The Union folk got a real good contract despite the "wishes of NOV" previously posted here!! The chemineer/Moyno management however, is so incompetent they cannot get the computer system upgrade to JD Edwards to work, so all production is virtually @ a standstill in Dayton for the last 3 weeks. The floor is an absolute mess, thanks to management doing their usual bang up job in floor planning out the assimilation of kenics from the closed Mass plant. Not to mention the absolute failure and fiasco of the implementation of the $500plus K lathe that was installed over 6 months ago but has yet to produce any work because they can't figure out how to program it or use it!. Management has begun to scrimp on ordering in operational and safety gear. Eyes and ears are saying the close is coming soon George closed Springfield and is Dayton to do the same. Layoffs and resignations are coming in bits and pieces but will come more quickly now @ floor management level, the lifers cost to much and are to obstinate about the changes being put in place. I would be afraid, very afraid!!
Got to see the new contract that they wanted us to swallow. Looks very similar to the Moyno deal word is we are going on strike.

Yeah the King really helped us out here at Tarby by sending Brian Hurd down here to Oklahoma. What a moron this guy is. He is running Tarby into the ground like he did when he was back in Springfield.
