I'm curious when exactly those of us who left or were separated last year are supposed to get our W-2 forms. My forwarding address is on file but to date it hasn't shown up. I need to file my taxes and can't.

Who told you that?
Severence pay is considered supplemental INCOME. It is taxed initially at a slightly higher rate than your normal wages because you didnt do physical work to get it.
Because it is a type of income, it is all lumped together on your W2. There is nothing wrong or illegal. Im also in Texas, my numbers added up correctly. Instead of the normal 720 ish I get back (i dont have kids or tons of tax breaks), i got close to 1400. Nearly double.
Got it, thanks y'all. I was able to get to the W2 online. There was a reminder with a link buried in my inbox.
I was told that the taxed portion of our severance would be given back to us,or some of it. I'm in Texas and they ended up putting it in as our wages so we can't get it back. Anyone else in this boat?
Report Whole Foods to the IRS.
If you haven’t received your W-2, follow these four steps:
Contact your employer If you have not received your W-2, contact your employer to inquire if and when the W-2 was mailed. If it was mailed, it may have been returned to the employer because of an incorrect or incomplete address. After contacting the employer, allow a reasonable amount of time for them to resend or to issue the W-2.
Contact the IRS
If you do not receive your W-2 by February 14th, contact the IRS for assistance at 800-829-1040. When you call, you must provide your name, address, city and state, including zip code, Social Security number, phone number and have the following information:
Employer’s name, address, city and state, including zip code and phone number
Dates of employment
An estimate of the wages you earned, the federal income tax withheld, and when you worked for that employer. The estimate should be based on year-to-date information from your final pay stub or leave-and-earnings statement, if possible.
File your return
You still must file your tax return or request an extension, even if you do not receive your Form W-2. If you have not received your Form W-2 by the due date, and have completed steps 1 and 2, you may use Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. Attach Form 4852 to the return, estimating income and withholding taxes as accurately as possible. There may be a delay in any refund due while the information is verified.
File a Form 1040X
On occasion, you may receive your missing W-2 after you filed your return using Form 4852, and the information may be different from what you reported on your return. If this happens, you must amend your return by filing a Form 1040X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.
My job was eliminated and I have received my by mail.
Even if you were separated/took severance, you should be able to pull from W2-Express. I had no problem getting mine.
I was told by my PBS when I was separated last October that our W-2's would be mailed. ( I was concerned because I used our online W2-Express) if you received your W2 online, it's still online.
I'm in the same boat. It's now February 16th and no W-2, and $hithole Foods has my address info. WTF?
