Don't worry about this f*cktard. He is the prime example of the POS's that need let go...the ones who do not deserve to work amongst the rest of the decent people...the ones we keep away from the company men so they don't say something assenign. You absolutely right...his momma will take care of him. You are lucky to be blessed with 4 children. Not one person in this world is guaranteed employment, not one person has considered not having kids because some day they may lose their job. What and idiot. Props to you.

Seriously get a life. Im more worried about my husbands morale, he worked hard to get where he is and yes we have saved. We do not want to blow through his hard earned savings that's the sickening part. Are you prepared? My children are all cared for and want for nothing, nor will they ever. I'll be paying for your kids/future kids while you are sitting at home on welfare...just as I always have and the other hard working people. Sucks being bitter, I'm sure? Mommy will fix it tho... Maybe she will buy you a new Xbox game!

Well I hope you were fiscally responsible enough to plan for 4 kids and realize that this stuff happens places shut down. You can't honestly tell me you didn't think how much the 2nd 3rd and 4th kid would have costed and how possible it was that your husband would lose his job

Our kids are not in daycare...that's where being fiscally aware comes in.

By the way we don't live past our means. Well under them. We have bills that were not luxury or anticipated. It's not easy or cheap when your baby has to spend his first 3 months of life in the hospital I started this post asking a question and now find myself telling you my life story because I let you get to me with your words. Words that show how little life experience you have. We will get past this and be better from it. I have opportunities that you will never have. Why don't you use your time on the couch to enroll in some type of educational institution. There are 2 types of people who work at Halliburton...intelligent hardworking men like my husband and lazy whiners who don't want to lift a finger with no common sense or experience for whom the hardworking men have to carry. I think I know where you fall. No decent man or boy would ever speak to a woman like you have.

You think I'm looking for empathy? Don't assume and label me and I won't have to explain myself. You must be one of those guys who still lives at home with your mommy...or you have no wife or kids. I don't piggyback off of my husband I take care of our kids and household. Do u think daycare for 4 kids is cheap? $700 a month per child. I guess my education tells me how and what is more fiscally responsible. Family is more important than money so we chose together for me to take off work. Looks like I will be our main support in the near future. Do you think it will b easy for my husband to stay home with 4 kids? Do you think I will put him down? Do you think I will refer to him as "piggy backing" off of me? You are a pig. I'm sure you are looking forward to your unemployment check.

You look for empathy because you "stayed home with the kids" that is such a bullshit line. You were lazy you piggyback off your husband, and now that you are being called out , you get mad. comparing living expense is pointless. If your living expenses became more than you can afford that I'd your fault nobody elses. Maybe you should become more fiscally responsible.

Well shame on you! We took advantage of his good paying job so that I could stay home with our children! I only went back to work when things looked bad months ago! How many people do you have to take care of in your family? What are your bills? Has anyone been ill? my pay as an RN isn't half of what my husband makes. His Six figure job is six figures because of all the overtime hours he works like everyone else...in the field! He worked his ass off staying extra hours in the yard while they were still giving raises completing competencies and helping others pass who shouldn't have ON HIS WEEKS OFF. All while others took the back seat and got away by the bare minimum. Get back to me on your personal expenses and maybe we can compare. So much hate here it's disgusting.

So your a RN and he made six figures shame on you for not having a stack saved up. They were all over paid and nobody feels sorry for you. I watched shop hands who bust there ass everyday making 15 a hr never complain once about no raise in 2 years. This sucks for all but if they were making the money that the over paid field guys did f--- never mind.

Thanks for the reply! He is out in the field and has several certifications and crane license. Hoping that helps but as we know no one is safe.

To the little lady in OH. We are probably all going to get cut eventually if the prices do not jump. IOGA WV conference, which I attended two weeks ago. The speaker stated that only about 3300 wells would get drilled in the Marcellus-Utica with these prices. That being said only about 1 in 12 will be completed. Most will get a pump and produce. That means one stage frac job and then flowback to hold a lease. They don't care if production stinks. They make 1 MCF they hold the land for 5 years and come back later when it turns around and pricing is more favorable to produce more hydrocarbon. Its a terrible thing.

I've been through this 2 times before 2002, 2009 and almost lost my ass on the last one but was able to come back in the black in 2010- mid 2014. 3rd time is the last. If I make it through, fantastic! If not, I move on and find something else to do. I'm assuming your husband has a CDL at a minimum and can drive OTR if needed. If he is a paper pusher rather than a solid hand. He's screwed. You might need to move where the jobs are.

Its great when its great and a big $hit sandwich when its not.Good luck to you and welcome to the current state of the oilfield. Not being rude just being honest.

I'm not looking for empathy...just defending myself against ignorant people. I do appreciate your post and know anything on here may or may not be credible. No one knows anything until it happens. Like I said...no news is good news. Taking it day by day. Good luck to you and yours.

Relax op! You are obviously new here. This is where people vent their frustration on management. And there are trolls who feel better by putting other people down. and then there are negative nancys and then there are silent people like me who rarely comment.

And sometimes, only sometimes is there real information somewhere in the posts. I feel for ya and your situation but this is not the place where you get empathy or credible information.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you knew our situation. I will be going back to work as a RN in our emergency department after my maternity leave is over. Not because I want to but because of the situation. It's pretty sad how people are judged during times like these...especially when we are all in the same boat. Dropping well over six figures even with my pay doesn't come close to cutting it. I hope you are in a worse situation sir...sounds like you deserve it.

Maybe you should get a job, instead of piggybacking off your husband's paycheck that would eliminate stress.

You may need to seek some help. Ignorant. Rude. Either you don't work for Halliburton or you have already been laid off and are hoping the same for others. You don't have any information, obviously. No one is oblivious to the fact that things are bad We were moved to Ohio after Homer City, PA shut down. . We have 2 new babies to care for as do many other families. No extra stress is needed from comments like yours. No news is good news as far as I'm concerned so if you have none please do not comment.

My husband has been looking for the last year just as everyone else has. There are none. We are holding on as long as possible, that is our only option. I was looking for information not employment advice. No need for negativity unless u have quality information. Thanks.
