Innovation Theme Song / new

Corporate is rolling out a company theme song to spur on innovation.

Developed last year, the music consulting company who has been working on it with management just received prior to holidays the final approval from executive team. The Board of Directors have also signed off.

It is going to be a huge morale booster,

I heard it's being held back for release.

I am guessing they don't want Wall Street to think they are wasting money.

I'll tell you what this is about.

Weatherford has to promote to Wall Street how they plan to add value. And so they are going to try and say they are moving towards being the most progressive innovation oriented oil service company. Ah ha! Now you know why they have spent big $$$ on things like innovation theme songs to force employees to listen to.

You see, it's all about Wall Street and the executives salaries and bonuses. They have to have a story to tell Wall Street.

My Lord.

It's all just amazing.

How much revenue will this generate for the company and who would even buy such a boring product?

I'd like to offer my thoughts to all of this.

Replying to some of these posts:

  1. It doesn't cost that much to get studio time and find some starving artists to produce a new song. Of course, the sky is the limit, but the whole audio production should range between $15k-$50k and up. And they probably put this on their corporate marketing budget so it's all bunched up with the other cr@p. It's the video work that costs $$$.

  2. Someone asked what's the golf connection. I think they have called in Hole in One because that's quite an achievement to get it the first time. Like the big winner. And in the oilfield, drilling a well is about the hole. Get it? It's actually quite clever. Whatever....

  3. They better know what they are doing. Because this could boomarang them if they are not careful. But if it's good, well, then good for them for doing something creative and valuable.

I hope there's not any rap. And I hope it's not corny. Anybody remember the Houston Oilers football team's theme song? It was obnoxious. If WFT does that, I'm out of here.

Hole in One - it's progressive Country, with one stanza that sounds a little rap.

yep. it's been planned for awhile. They're releasing it beginning of new year to get morale up, and kick off the new year with a bang. It may backfire if it sucks. Risky and I don't any other oil service company with a theme song. Now we just need a new mascot, and maybe the stock will go up and keep our jobs.

Hole in One sounds like a good name for a company song.

Any idea how much they spent on it?

It better be good.
