Dude, just shut up, work your 80 hour weeks and Q will let you know when they are done with you.
Never ask for changing groups or promo otherwise you will be PIP'ed out. I saw this happening to folks I know.

I doubt it. Unless you really suck and you get laid off because your performance is marginal
If you ask for a promotion or change of group/assignment you will probably be downgraded to a "2" on your next review. It's the new grading scheme: Promote people up and out.
