Chevron Layoffs at Gorgon

Chevron reduced personnel by 1200 at Gorgon. This is probably part of the 6000-7000 layoffs announced recently, which is separate from the various ROM's in Houston. You can find articles about this. Oh, well.

The 1200 referred to in recent news articles were not chevron employees but rather the staff of the construction contractors building Gorgon. And they all knew their scope was winding down and that the accommodation housing them on island was leaving end of the year so not sure why this was even news.
