Go into Task Manager (Cntl-Alt-Del), click on the Processes tab and find the process that is running for Workpace (it has a name that is obvious). Select it and delete (end) it. This won't delete the application, only the running process. It will automatically resume the next time the laptop is rebooted. By ending the running process, you won't be bothered with messages telling you to take a break. I did this for years and never was told anything.

IF I GET ANOTHER WORK PACE BREAK IM SMASHING THIS LAPTOP INTO THE MONITOR!
All supervisors must be make quick and informed decisions within their delegation of authority. Too often they delay a decision for too long to seek their managers opinion on trivial matters. If as a supervisor they cannot do their job within the confines of their authority, they must be demoted to a lower position where no decisions need to be made. Many supervisors lack backbone and lose the respect of their subordinates. This cannot work in a structured organization. I'd change this first.
The name of the company, right after the XOM takeover, and the arrival of real leaders who know how to make and stand behind a decision without requiring a committee to do it for them.
Covington IT support fat cats. Literally
No more first-class flights
Change "We Lead" to "We Lag".
Project Managers should go
We Lead needs to go. It doesn't add anything but useless PMP words.
I would get bigger sinks in the Covington office, they're so small.
Just get rid of all those useless CBT module. I hate having to take time to go through them to just check a box to make useless management happy.
I second the suggestion... "Get rid of the "human energy" logo". Chevron just proved they don't give a damn about the human side of this company. It's an insult to keep that banner displayed anywhere.
Get rid of positions having any of "Liaison," "Organizational Capability," "Strategic" or "Knowledge Management" in the title.
Get rid of people who have "Manager" in their title, with nobody to manage. It's amazing as to the number of people below level 26 with that title.
Get rid of groups that were created in the last few years (favoritism at work here -- create a position for your friend!!!), e.g., Strategic Planning and Organizational Capability in ETC.
Get rid of the "human energy" logo. They proved how much they care for human energy.
I would layoff my supervisor and his boss. Both were not the right persons for the job.
I would hire myself back...after a few more months...unless I can manage a better job somewhere else.
The CEO.
I would get rid of the high bonuses, and just make the base pay higher instead. Our base pay is lower than just about every other company and supplier/contractor base pay. Our bonuses are much bigger than those, but bonuses aren't guaranteed like base pay is.
