How's $ 33 /barrel working for ya?

Still optimistic about your future with this wonderful fossil-energy-producing human-energy-wasting company ?

Don't you think maintaining production is kind of important for an energy company? It sounds like you don't belong in this conversation.

Of course we are, we'll make money in these times and even more money when oil inevitably jets back to 100+. How about a little simple math to put a burr in the saddle of most of the naysayers who come here.

1) OPEX/DFLC etc etc (if you have to ask don't bother, you don't belong in this conversation) normalized is going to be around or less than $10.00 a Bbl. Simple math if oil goes down to $20.00 a bbl we still make 100% ROI, not too shabby and an ROI most industries will kill for.

2) The dividend. Stick to the facts, extract out capital spend, of which virtually every penny is discretionary, and we can pay the dividend out of free cash flow, again, only facts. We spend capital cause we want to, granted it keeps production up, but is always discretionary.

3) Oil isn't going away, you can talk solar energy, hemp for this that and replacing plastic, petrochemicals etc, but oil isn't going away. Maybe in 50 years maybe in 40, maybe in a hundred, but not on the horizon right now.

Sorry Charlie, it is what it is.

Hey 4syj, If you retired by choice, What's your excuse for being an obnoxious self-centered Asshole trolling on a Chevron Layoff's forum other than you get a kick out of aggravating people and you don't have a life?

Hey @3egn, are you retired by choice or were you tossed out? You seem a little bitter, so I'd say you were tossed out. How's that working for you? I retired by choice and everything including these low gas prices at the pump are working great for me.

You're not really a "Hi-Pot" because you gave away a major clue when you said, "The person who promoted me was forced to take retirement a couple of years ago because of her corrupt practices." Corrupt practices are encouraged within "The Circle", so you are not really climbing the ladder, or you would know the corruption runs deep and is rewarded...

You're welcome. I do actually exist and work 3 levels below Watson now. I became a manager only 2 years after joining the company. That goes to show you how talented I am. The person who promoted me was forced to take retirement a couple of years ago because of her corrupt practices, but here I am, climbing the ladder. Now I expect the same level of ass kissing from all my subordinates.

Thanks the way to go @ifm. Your attitude and actions are appropriate and will guarantee you a long career. Chevron management is so superficial. Keep up the good work.

I personally have no worries. Worrying is for those losers who don't know how to play the game in the office. I am a celebrity with the management and know how to kiss ass properly. I even dress just like my boss and talk like her. Who cares about oil prices?

Now now, don't let Gorgon, Wheatstone, Bigfoot, Angola, GOM, Pro+, AMBU or all the other fine examples of the superiority of Chevron employees make you think that oil at $33 is going to cause THIS most admired company any issues. Now go dress smartly - that's whats important.
