Nigel got rewarded/promoted from AMBU to ABU. leaving the sinking ship

to all the haters ...

Nigel H., currently vice president of the Appalachian/Michigan Business Unit (AMBU), has become the deputy managing director of Chevron Australia and our Australasia Business Unit, reporting to ABU Managing Director Roy Krzywosinski.

Nigel’s appointment strengthens our management team as we evolve from the construction-led phase of our Gorgon and Wheatstone natural gas projects to the ongoing operation of these two key assets. Nigel’s downstream and upstream operating experience, combined with his proven record of leading large, complex operations, such as the Richmond refinery, makes him well qualified to help position us for success as Australia commences operations at these world class facilities.

Bye bye AMBU. Sorry but the good people are gone! You know what they do with leftovers! Time to throw them away, they destroyed a company that had potential. Now they are telling everyone that we hit our production targets from last year. YEAH, at .10 a mcf . Think about it folks, do the math .

Nige is a capable and hands-on guy. His undoubted knowledge of up, mid and down- stream and particularly gas will make him a huge asset to ABU.

If Roy decides to retire Nige will match or exceed those who have gone before him.

Sure we will see him with the jolly sailors as some of those cargoes head to Asia. Better late than never me old mates.

Things are pretty dire and Chevron has much to change before it can emerge a strong and respected company. Respect must be earned from within first. Most of our management need to be replaced with capable leaders who demand accountability. It won't be easy and will take time, but things must start changing right now.

"Well qualified" is an HR term for "meh". Don't see a future there. I don't see a fiture for Chevron in Australia either. Or anywhere actually.
