I totally agree with you, I have worked with team leaders who leave hours early on a daily basis because they "were bored" or "didn't feel like staying longer" despite the numerous callouts that day. Morale was consistently low on these teams but the STL didn't care because they were good friends with these team leaders. Speaking up gets you no where in this company and leadership WILL find ways to retaliate, usually by finding ways to write someone up for things they let other people get away with constantly.
The average job these days last 3.2 years. This is a fact. Move on and expand upon your skills and experience elsewhere (agree - no long term future in a grocery store).
I have over twenty years in the work force, never have I seen so many undeserving and incompetent people put in leadership roles. Thus, it seems to me the more honest and hardworking, get the short end in this in this laughable company.
There is no great future in a grocery store to begin with. WFM was good at serving up the kool-aid that promised big things.
This article does prove a good point, though. Good read brotha!
