Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Thought lead associates are hourly associates, they are not management, clock in just like hourly associates.....hourly associates deserve cost of living also......

Kmart needs to also give there lead employees cist of living raise be cause now with min wage 10 leads are makeing same as hourly ass.

Sears needs to get rid of some upper managerment..and stop spending money on flying them around. Start paying their worker alittle more money.. no raises for the workers in 7 years.

I am pumping because I would hate to see the demise of a company that has stores that give decent merchandise for decent prices that hard working people can afford.

Best place for children's clothes, without a doubt. Many other departments are better or, at least, competitive with more trendy stores.

Needs to get in the limelight with some very well placed marketing. Major makeover required.

A sears layoff board for associates is an odd place for a consumer to post about "rediscovering" sears. Doing a little "pumping" like they do on the financial boards?

This is true - the brand is old and tired

I truly believe that Sears would have to change their name. Younger customers don't associate the name with quality or trendy. My teenage daughter will not even look at Sears Jr. department. So I am spending money at other stores instead of supporting the store I work at.
